Connecting and setting up your PC and communications receiver in 10 steps
1. Make sure your PC speakers are switched on and the volume knob of the speakers is opened.
2. Switch on your communications receiver and make sure the volume knob is turned down/up so that signals are heard at a comfortable volume (not too loud, not too soft).
3. Tune your communications receiver in on any frequency that broadcasts a strong signal (a local radio station for example).
4. Plug one end of the cable in the headphones/ext.speaker socket of your communications receiver and the other end in the microphone socket of your computer’s soundcard.
5. Start Alexis and open its menu option called ‘Volume Control…’
6. At this point you should be hearing the audio from the communications receiver coming over your PC speakers,
7. Move the ‘Microphone’ volume slider so that the audio from your communications receiver is received loud but not distorted. This slider is responsible for the incoming audio signal from your communications receiver (make sure the slider is not too low because Alexis will not be able to detect the data-signals if it is).
8. Move the ‘Volume Control’ volume slider to adjust the overall volume of your PC speakers is to your preferred volume.
9. Close the volume control window and tune your communications receiver in on the frequency that broadcasts the data signal.
10. Finally start the data killer by pressing the on/off button at the bottom center of the main window (as shown below). If data signals are detected your speakers will be muted right away, as soon as voice is detected your speakers will be switched on again.

Bij het ontvangen kreeg ik gelijk de eerste 5 tooncodes binnen, het was proef alarm voor de regio's. Dus mijn
database was gelijk aardig gevuld.

Na de installatie van het programma heb ik een nieuwe database aangemaakt deze
zit onder de blauwe pijl in het Alexis scherm, in het snel menu, de link " 5tvo
codes". Hier kan je een database aanmaken. mijn database noem ik, "Brandweer"
Mijn scanner staan op de volgende twee frequenties te scannen,
alarmering frequentie (164.770) en brandweer frequentie 167.990 (kanaal 7)
Amersfoort.
Bij de uitgestuurde codes kan je voor kiezen als de gesprekken opgenomen dient te worden (mp3 bestand),
en een tekst bestand met de gegevens van, datum, tijd, en een disctiption. En een banner op het scherm (ALARM),
met daarin een lopende tekst met de 5 tooncode en de disctiption.

Hier heb ik een database bestand van de regio Utrecht en de voertuigen en VB
codes uit Amersfoort deze kan je in de root
van het programma zetten.
Alle codes die gebruikt worden in Amersfoort en de regiocodes.
